Coach's Selection
We need help from our parents as head coaches, assistant coaches, practice helpers, and enthusiastic fans to make our league, and your daughter’s summer, fun and enjoyable.
A pool of potential coaches is generated during the registration process. Coaches are selected by the board based on the team their daughter was placed on and discussion by the board.
It is important to remember that you, as a coach, represent your family, team, and community. Sportsmanship and creating a positive learning environment for your team is vital.
- Each coach (head or assistant) will undergo a background check (no additional cost).
- Each coach will also sign a Code of Conduct.
- All coaches and persons helping a coach during practices and/or games MUST complete the concussion awareness training required by the State of Minnesota. There is a link to the CDC site below.
Feedback can be returned to the Board at any time during the season via email to the President of the STMA GFA Board.
Parent coaches are not paid by the STMA Girls Fast Pitch Association.
Concussion "Heads Up" Training
New for 2012: All individuals assisting in practices, during games, and in the dugout must complete the concussion awareness training. When you have completed the training, please print a copy of the certificate for your records and email a copy to Chad Weinzierl at chadw.stma@gmail.com.
