General Info |
Tryout Information Tryouts for Travel teams occur in early March. Players at each age level come to the tryout and are assigned a number (100 for 10U, 200 for 12U, and 400 for 14U). There are three stations at which the players are evaluated: hitting, fielding ground balls, and fielding fly balls. 2009 Tryouts will be Sunday March 1 and Monday March 2 (make-up session) Outside evaluators are brought in to evaluate our players. There are typically three evaluators at each station. Each evaluator scores the player in multiple skills at each station. At the end of the tryout, the scores from all evaluators are entered, double-checked for accuracy, and tallied. The players (by assigned number) are then ranked by their final scores. The Softball Board then divides the players into teams based on the number of teams at a level. Other information about tryouts Wear indoor gym
