STMA Travel 14U
Our STMA 14u Program was started in 2019 to give STMA athletes an opportunity to continue to play softball in STMA. Our 14u and older teams are run like club teams only in the sense that they will be open to players from other communities. Aside from that, our 14u and older programs will look similar to what our 12u programs do with the addition of some off-season programming. Once teams are formed, they will participate in fall ball and the following summer league seasons, along with off-season practice dates. Dome ball, off-season tournaments, and off-season training, at an additional cost, will also be offered. These will be encouraged (but optional) to allow girls to participate in other sports that do not take place during the softball season.

SAVE THE DATE: Tryouts for the 2026/2027 season will be Monday, August 3rd.
Times:
Pitchers & Catchers: 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. - no time slot will be assigned. Please show up between these times to check in and be evaluated.
Team Tryouts: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Volunteer Hours
NO volunteer hours will be required for the fall season. Each player will be required to complete 4 hours for the spring 2027 season. (subject to change)
Please note: STMA is NOT a host site for fall ball this year. This will mean you will be traveling to other locations for fall ball games. There will be NO home games.

2026-2027 Season:
Birthdates between September 1st, 2010 - August 31st, 2012
When
What time of the year does this program run?
Teams will play Fall Ball together and will continue with winter practices. Once the high school season is done, 14U practices and games will begin (mid-late May) for the summer season.
Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
Practices will be held in the STMA community. Games will be played in the Big West league.
Practices
When are practices and how often are they?
Teams practice 2-3 times per week.
Off Season/Winter Practices:
Winter practices will take Fridays during Jan/Feb in the dome. Additional practices may be offered throughout the winter as well.
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Teams will play 30-40 games over the course of the season and consist of league games and 3-5 tournaments.
Jerseys
Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?
Each player will receive 2 jerseys, 2 pairs of socks, and 2 belts. Players will need to provide their own BLACK pants.
Fundraising
All players will be required to sell five (5) cards. You will be charged $100 for the cards when you register. As you sell them, the money is yours to keep.
Additional Costs
What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?
Players/Parents can expect the total cost to run between $800-$1000. Invoices will be sent out throughout the season
Fall Ball Dates
Fall Ball games for 14U are played on Sundays. Schedule and location will be released by Wednesday each week.
